I finally got my copy of
Turtles All The Way Down by John Green and it's not what I expected. There's so much hype around it and I'm still waiting to see why. It does have a lot of truth in it, it's just buried in all of this chatter. I really hope I get to this need-to-tell-everyone-it's-so-good part.
Some truths I appreciated:
"Anyone can look at you. It's quite rare to find someone who sees the same world you see," (Green 9).
"I wondered why I wanted him to kiss me, and how to know why you want to be with someone, how to disentangle the messy knot of wanting," (Green 103).
